On the Knock : The hill above the town is The Knock. It commands good views over Strathearn and you can look south to the pastures of theLowlands and north over the Highland Line to the mountains. Not bad for the centre of town park

Strathearn : Strathearn - The heart of Scoltand. This is the strath I live in. It's not a glen although there are those around about. The Strath runs East West across the Highland Line, from Lochearnhead to Perth. It encompasses Highland glen and mountain as well as lush pastoral and woods, river and loch, lush fields and sparse mountain habitat. For me this is heaven. This collection stays within the Strath although you will find pictures taken here in other galleries as well. I've included Glen Quaich & Amulree here as they are just up the road, through the Sma Glen though not strictly in the Strath

Sleeper train below Beinn Dorain : I belong to a photographic forum and one its members asked me for a photograph of a train. I couldn't think of a better place than the line between Tyndrum & Bridge of Orchy. The sleeper train from London passes under Beinn Dorain on it's way to Fort William. As the train gets here at 8:00 am all I needed to do was to get up at 5:30.
